Ed is a Genius!
Dear Ed,
Don't know if you'll even see this. But I'll bet you've heard this before.
I've listened to your music since "93" and I can say that it's been the only consistant source of joy that I've had my life as far as music is concerned. You seem to be able to hit on whatever is happening in my life, whether happy or sad.
I don't know how you do it. It must just be natural. Well I thank the gods and your parents for producing such a wonderous talent.
when I listen to the music I REALLY listen to it. You never seem to fail to bring something new and original into the mix. I always seem to find it and savour it. It's fun listening to the music just to find it. LOL
That being said about your music, your words. What can we say about your words. I find meaning for myself in all that you say in your songs. Whether my meaning is your meaning, I don't know. They say ART is different for everyone. We all interpret it differently. I guess that's okay, as long as you get what you need from it. I certainly do from your art.
You've affected me in so many ways, I can't begin to tell you how. All I know is that I hope you keep it up for a long time. You're a treasure to the music industry and I hope new artists coming up, look to you and truly try to be what you are to all your fans.
Thank you for producing such beautiful work. You're a true treasure.
Peg in Vancouver.

Ed Roland and the band are nothing short of amazing. They have touched this soul to its core and I am forever grateful for it. So inspiriational and uplifting through the music - they've found their true calling and we all benefit from it.
I look forward to every new twist and turn this band takes because no matter where they go, they seem to capture the pure essence of life, celebrate and honor it, raising the vibration like no other. I am happy and so blessed to be a part of the Collective Soul!!
Many, many thanks to Ed and CS for putting it out there for all to enjoy. Thank you for sharing your gifts!

Just wanted to say that I appreciate the content as well as the package - the themes of your songs are consistently uplifting/thoughtful/enjoyable and the music has everything.
I have listened to CS for over 10 years and I never get tired of it. It is the one constant in any playlist I have going. Love the songwriting, love the guitars, love the bass, love the drums, love the melody, love it, love it, love it!
I would like to suggest a new genre for you guys: Classy Rock

I couldn't agree with this more...while I had heard several of their songs on the radio back to '93 I didn't really know who Collective Soul was before a few years ago, when I happened to pick up a copy of 'Seven Year Itch' at a Walmart (I still don't know why). I had no idea that all those songs had come from the same band. I eventually ended up getting a copy of each CD for the car, work and home. These songs have gotten me through so much the past few years, 'I long(ed) to find a messenger' and found Collective Soul. Now that I have an IPOD it is engraved "FOR MY COLLECTIVE SOUL". I too just wanted to let Ed know what his song writing means to me.
