@kjdphilly: although i dont condone physical violence and am sorry you felt harrassed to the point of feeling threatened for your life, it seems you are somewhat naive about concert etiquette as well. People go to shows early, stand in line for hours to get the best spot they can to see whichever band they love - and to have someone arrive and start trying to make their way past them is poor form. if you were at a pearl jam or u2 show, or any other band who's audience is numbering in the thousands (ie playing stadium shows etc) you would have been pushed back not just by two people but by many more.
this has nothing to do with the band. this has to do with people in their 40s being groupies. this has to do with you trying to get somewhere without it the right way - if you want to go see collective soul live again , do so. but show up earlier, stand in line like anyone else, and secure a spot closer to the stage without trying to butt in front. you'll enjoy the show and perhaps when someone tries to push their way in front of you and block your view, you'll understand it better.
I was at the Philadelphia show at the TLA. Had an incredible time except for fact these two people physically harassed me when trying to get up front. This was not just a harassment, but an actually bullying and physical abuse, holding me so I could not go any further. I was frightened for my life. I have NEVER dealt with this horrifying behavior and I am really upset that the show had to end so abruptly for me. I Love Collective Soul, but I cannot believe what I had to experience. I am not a negative person by any means, but I am beyond trying to think it was ok for what happened. By the way, whoever the couple was, she had bad bleached blonde hair and bangs with some guy with a buzz cut. They physically held me back in order for me not to see the band. Security was kind enough to see the altercation and saved me from two people who were insane. This is not a funny post. I am very upset about the physical abuse. Please be aware. they seem like groupies in their mid forties and are insane. Collective Soul is still one of my favorite bands whom I've seen many times, I just don't think I will be able to see them live any more.....
